How to know it’s time…

One of the most popular questions I get from clients is how will they know when it is time to let your animal companion go to rest. It is such a difficult time emotionally, we are afraid we may be missing signs from our companion.
The rule of thumb is if they are experiencing more bad moments than good moments, it is probably time. Some animals need permission to let go out of loyalty and love for their humans. Some have a strong survival instinct and just want to keep fighting even though it may be in their best interest to let go.
So how do we know? Here is a short clip from an interview I did with the intelligent and charming Nicole Osei, from Texas.
As always, there are so many scenarios that there cannot be one solid answer. It really is between you and your companion. This is what the clip focuses on: the heart to heart connection between human and animal companion.
